Yay or Nay: Visualisation

Do you imagine yourself nailing that trick, paddling for that wave or dropping in on the ramp? Do you go over it in your head and taste success before you make it reality? Or do you think it's better to do it off the cuff, going for it without thinking. Maybe you think that thinking about it too much makes you stuff it up? Tell us...will visualisation help you claim that trick?

Comment and tell us Yay or Nay and why?

YAY. Visualizing what you are going to do really seems to help, if you can imagine what you&#39ll be doing the whole way through the trick hopefully you won&#39t become unstuck and slam.

Yeah I agree with Bex, having a clear idea of where your going and what your gonna try and do is a great idea, but I find sometimes I over think what I am trying to do, and end up stiffening up and being less natural. Of course it’s an endless pursuit to find your ‘zone’ and stay there, its deffo a fine balance.

So it’s a YAY for visualisation, just don’t spend your day on the slopes or in the sea planning out every move, otherwise you might end up disappointed in your performance.

I definately visualise the trick before I do it. I wanna know in my head that its gonna work or I just cock it up and either eat snow or spend the rest of the shaking it out of my ass! It always helps to have someone telling you to stop being a pussy and get on with it too!
