Paragliding
Who says humans can't fly? Add some lines and a paraglider and we're up there with the birds, no bother. I've never actually considered going paragliding, why? Because I assumed it would be expensive, difficult and impossible to do in the UK. Surprisingly, all are untrue. If you want the easy option, you can do a tandem paraglide for less than a hundred quid with minimal training. Want to actually do the flying part yourself? One day intro courses are £120 and you'll learn how to take off, land and crucially, fly around. Both courses are available at several UK locations through Ex Elements. If you haven't entered our Ex Elements comp yet, do it quick - there's only one week left for a chance to nab the £50 vouchers and rash vests.
