Round three is now complete over at the Mancora Peru Classic. Stand outs include Layne Beachley who says she's back on form now she's remembered to surf for fun. She defeated Rosanne Hodge with a score of 15.67 to Hodge's 12.23. Goofy footer Jessi Miley-Dyer is still surfing strong, convincingly beating Jacqueline Silva. Also through is Chelsea Hedges, Rebecca Woods and Stephanie Gilmore.
Current world number two Silvana Lima had a tough heat against local wildcard Anali Gomez, but got through with just 0.50 of a point above her opponent. Amee Donohone and Claire Bevilacqua had another very closely contested heat, with Claire Bevilacqua losing out by just 0.41.
In the final third round heat, local Sofia Mulanovich beat French surfer Caroline Sarran (who seems to find herself in a lot of tough heats). Caroline Sarran still put in a damn good show though, clocking up a score of 10.26 to Mulanovich's 14.27.
