Jenny Jones wins Nippon Open!

Jenny Jones currently sits at the top of the Burton Global Open Series Standings after winning the ParkStyle comp at the Nissan X-Trail Nippon Open today. The five star Swatch TTR event held in Bandai, Japan, was rescheduled due to heavy snow to today. Fellow Salomon rider Jamie Anderson came second - holding onto her current TTR number one standings.
The first hit to the park this morning, Jenny was going off - winning $15 000 - with a slick 50-50 gap to 50-50 Boardslide to fakie off the box, a big cab 540 off the 50 foot kicker and a huge frontside air off the hip. Jamie was strong too with a big gap tailslide to fakie on the box, a cab 720 with a melon grab on the kicker and a nice nose grab off the hip to finish up. Third place went to Japanese rider Izumi Amaike with a 50/50 gap to 50/50 on the box, mute Cab 540 off the kicker into a frontside air on the hip.
Mikkel Bang won for the men, with women's and men's halfpipe set to take place on Sunday: which could really throw the current TTR rankings...
