Surfers in California have saved the famous Trestles point break, from being squashed by a six-lane expressway through the beautiful San Onofre State Beach.
Campaigners from across the community, including workers at Sole Technologies (owners of Etnies and Thirty Two), had passed out 'Save Trestles' stickers and t shirts out prior to a hearing. 2500 people attended the California Coastal Commission hearing on February 6th, according to the LA Times, to fight the Foothill Transportation South Toll Road - most of who were surfers. It's awesome to see people power in action - and getting results!
