
A festival celebrating the collaboration of art, music, film, photography and surfing, The Happening will tour the world in 2008: bringing live performances, exhibitions and screenings together to raise money and awareness for non-proft organisations - including the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
Presented by Quiksilver, Roxy, Universal Records, Brushfire Records, Woodshed Films and The Surf Gallery, the first event takes place at the oceanfront Bondi Openair Cinema, at the Bondi Beach Pavillion, Sydney, Australia on March 14, with all inclusive tickets costing just $35.
At 6pm the art exhibition will open, with work from featured artists and photographers include Thomas Campbell, Andy Davis, Wolfgang Bloch, Julie Goldstein, Kate Sutton and more.
Then from 7pm to 9pm, live music performances from Andrew Kidman, Will Conner, Dave Rastovich and Matt Costa, will continue the event's spirit. from 9pm to 10.30pm four films will also be showcased, including Sliding Liberia, a feature film by Britton Caillhouette and Nicholai Lidow, with short films from the Malloys, Thomas Campbell and The Gothic Dolphins, with a special afterparty taking place till Midnight at the Bondi Beach Pavillion Bar.
The Happening will then move to Tokyo, Japan, on April 11, with stops scheduled in Cornwall, England for July 4, and Paris, France on July 11, then, with dates to be confirmed, stops in New York and San Francisco.
