I've developed a crush: since discovering the exquistely created, subtle style of Audrey Kawasaki I've found myself slightly obssessed with her website and blog. Influenced by both Art Nouveau, Manga comics and street art, she paints Lolita like girls onto wood - from skate decks to old paintings - who's eyes draw you deep into the painting and leave you slightly haunted...
Currently working on her Mondo Bizzaro show in Rome, coming in September, she is developing a skate influenced feel once more after recent commissions: I'm trying to arrange an interview for Nollie as we speak (and some magazines!) so look out for it very soon...
