Our fellow Shiny bloggers over at HippyShopper pointed us in the direction of Nvohk yesterday - the first 'community managed, eco-friendly, surf-inspired clothing company.'
Pronounced as 'in-voke' the brand wants 5000 subscribers to join them on www.projectnvohk.com, by donating $50 a year to fund the clothing line and participate in making business decisions, while Nvohk will donate 10% of all profts to enviornmental charities - chosen by their community.
They say their aims are to put consumers and the enviornment in the forefront, make high quality products via ecologically advanced materials and processes, plus create an ongoing fund raising and support engine for environmental organisations.
2055 people and counting have signed up since December, so if you want to take part in this economic experiment then why not join up... I may be a mug but my name's down.
