From the skate punk scene of the early 1990s, through to her pure portraits of modern americana, Deanna Templeton is a photographer with raw talent and her roots firmly in skateboard culture. Married to pro skater come artist Ed Templeton, she's now getting noticed in her own right - and has just opened an exhibition of her work alongside painter Alexis Amann.

Located at the Mollusk Gallery, in Venice CA, California Dreams & Realities is open now, and showcases recent work and prints from her book Your Logo Here - 'a photographic essay on a recent trend of Southern Californian 'body logo's' and their mark on the local youth.'
If you can't make it to Cali, you can keep up with Deanna and her travels via her blog rvcadeanna.blogspot.com although it hasn't been updated for a while... The warm, grainy quality of her prints is making me looking forward to Summer.
