Nollie were at the rather awesome Snowboard Test last week - the biggest snowboar product test in the world - sampling the very best snowboards, bindings, boots, goggles and outerwear for next season. In the beautiful resort of Kaunertal, Austria, I was spoilt with super fun slush and park riding, glorious mountain sunshine, a pretty mean goggle tan and an all round epic week.
Expect to see details from the test about our fave boards, boots and bindings, plus more, emerging throughout this week - as well as the thoughts of UK pros Gilly Seagrave, Jo Chastney, Claire Frost, Kate McCondichie and more. Our Austrian cousins are pretty backwards when it comes to internet access however, with one cafe in the town offering wireless (and kept crashing), hence the delay.
I was impressed by Head's growing collection of ladies' boards and bindings, fallen in love with the banana shaped, magna traction cut snowboards made by Mervin - Gnu, Lib Technologies and Roxy (especially Torah Bright's signature model the Eminence), plus several pairs of Vans boots and outerwear, Grenade's new girl's line and more.
I also sampled the bounty of boards released by Burton, Capita, Union, Ride and K2. My ugly mug is also set to feature in a few outerwear fashion shoots in both Whitelines and Snowboard UK - the latter's gym location and scenarios were worthy of a few giggles I can tell you. I'll have more news, pics, reviews and videos of the test going up on Nollie in the next few days - start saving as there are some gems for next season.
