Last week Nollie turned your attentions to the wonders of the indoor Surf Rider in Wales; thought that was weird? Then you haven't seen 'brush boarding'. A cross between a dry slope halfpipe and a revolving artificial wave machine, this plastic brush coated Brush Ramp© is currently on tour around the UK, with a planned stop at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park today, and then Cornwall’s Crealy Great Adventure Park this Thursday May 29.
Also aimed at snowboarders and skaters, the Devon based inventors behind brush boarding, Extreme Sports Zone, claim it's better than pool based surf simulators - and is a great way for beginners to learn to surf before paddling out. Mmmm, somehow I still think nothing beats getting wet and salty in real waves rather than bruised and bashed around indoors.
