Have Billabong pulled off the most star studded surf event ever? Well going by the crazy positive response to their Design For Humanity surf, fashion, art and music celeb fest, on June 4, I sure think so.
To a soundtrack of MGMT, Australian singer/songwriter Ashleigh Mannix and DJ about town Steve Aoki, the A list likes of Mischa Barton, Adrian Grenier, Jason Biggs, Juliette Lewis and John Legend rubbd shoulder's with action sports finest - including snowboarders Tara Dakides and Jamie Anderson, plus surf stars Keala Kennelly and Sanoe Lake, all there to raise money for charity and celebrate surf culture.

Set in the Avalon / Spider Club, Irvine, CA, to witness a fashion show of one off Billabong desgns, this wasn't your usual supermodel strut-a-thon; every artwork, photographic print, and outfit - including designs by Amber Valetta, Cory Kennedy, Lisa Kline and Nicky Hilton - on show was a one-of-a-kind. And now they are all up for auction on eBay now in order to raise money for the Surf Rider Foundation, in addition to monies made from ticket sales.

For a full write up on the event check out the report on Global Surf News, plus blogs on Fuel TV, Swell, Billabong, Foam magazine and more. If you're lucky enough to have Fuel TV on your cable then switch on August 11 at 8pm ET/PT to watch the show in full - with repeats to follow.

And, most importantly, to buy yourself a little piece of surfing history start bidding on eBay now.
Damn: wish I could've been there!
