Three_exhibition

From June 25 to August 14, the LCB surf shop on London's Brick Lane will be hosting a very special one off photography show: Three - Journeys in surf. The exhibition will showcase three female photographers, who met via the British surfing scene - Lucia Griggi, Kate Czuczman and Mel Enright - and who's work all documents global surf culture, but via highly contrasting journeys.

Lucia has broken into, what is still, a male dominated sport, and is now the only female photographer to regularly appear in core magazines like Carve, Surfgirl, Wavelength, Hebe, and Cooler. A key surf scene figure for over seven years Lucia combines her passion plus knowledge to create striking images of the culture around her, with this show seeing her photos laminatd onto surfboards and other objects.

A love for old school cameras and travels with her company Big Friday, have taken Kate Czuczman from South West England through to Hawaii. Armed with her Rolleicord, Lomo, Holga and Polaroid sx-70, Kate's arty images are unique in today's digital obsessed surf photography sphere.

Finally, alongside an illustrious PR career, Mel Enright developed her camera skills on a six month sabbatical - which resulted in the exhibition Horizon's of Blue and Gold in London in 2006. With an eye for landscapes and natural beauty, Mel's work focuses on light, colour and pattern, which has led to her being published in Surfgirl, Cooler, FHM.com, .Cent and Traveller magazine.

A percentage of sales from the exhibition will go to the Kokua Foundation - a non-profit organisation, based on the North Shore of Oah'u, that supports environmental education in the schools and communities of Hawaii - a place close to each of the trio's hearts.
