Music Club: Converse Century co-writer Santogold

OK, so I'm pretty late off the mark with this one, but Santogold is something special: a schizophrenic blend of dirty electro beats, spacey dub, new wave indie, electro, punk and grimey hip hop, the Brooklyn, New York born soundsmith - otherwise known as Santi White - is a lady on a sonic mission.

On tour across the US with Coldplay (random!), Santogold hits European shores ain August for a string festival slots. Unique both in musical and material style, (imagine a nu-rave club kid, transported back in time to join the Sugar Hill Gang, via Sun Ra's Space Is the Place) she is also a huge influence on Analog-and-Burton-snowboarder-turned-musician Trevor Andrew aka Trouble (pictured with her above) her long term boyfriend. She was also lead singer of Philadelphia ska rock / punk band Stiffed.
