Influenced by her time as a wildlife volunteer in San Diego, California, Susie Ghahremani makes hand crafted aerial installations, miniatures plus gouche paintings onto wood and wood blocks, with a craft feel - that mimics home stitching - and stars a wide range of dogs, birds and her trademark owls. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Art and Design, Susie also prints her own line of stationary - depicting her llustrations.
Her latest work is on display now at her fifth solo show - The Wild Life - which sees a huge collection of her work go on show at the Giant Robot Gallery in Los Angeles, and sees her furry subject 'take on human qualities, finding visible comfort in the homes they have built.'
