Iphone_snow_reports_application Because we're all geeks at heart, I thought I'd share this gem, first brought to my attention by the nice chaps at Snowbroader - much like the swish gadgets you'll find on our sister sites Shiny Shiny, Tech Digest and Idiot Toys.

If you're lucky enough to own an iPhone, and are itching for your first fix of this season's flakes make sure to download this latest application from On The Snow.

Summed up as 'Personalized Snow Reports for your iPhone' Snow Reports lets you create bespoke pages comprising results for up to 16 of your fave ski resorts - choose from more than 2000 worldwide.

Keep reading for more details and a video on exactly how works....

No details are spared either as you'll get info on the lifts open status, surface condition, base and past 48 hour depth, with links to weather, the latest deals, resort cameras and more all included. Kinda 'like the existing Weather application for snow reports' apparently, courtesy of the experts at OnTheSnow.com and is available in French, Spanish, German, Italian, Norwegian and Swedish.

For more details and screen grabs check out eddit.com/snow_reports, or head to the iTunes store where you can buy the app for just $1.99 - that is if you're rich enough to have an iPhone in the first place. Unlike moi: us plebs can just check out the tutorial and salivate instead:
