What to buy a snowboarder for Christmas - a cut out and keep guide
Fed up of getting the same old smellies, the latest Jamie Oliver book, Marks and Spencer undies or box of milk tray for Christmas? (actually I take back the last one). Then powderroom.net have come to the rescue, with present suggestions for snowboarders - compiling them on one easy-to-email page, perfect for forwarding on to friends and family. Genius!

Snowboarding is a chilly business and thermal underwear is essential to keep the cold out and the warmth in. Long-sleeve thermal tops and thermal long pants are genius and we love them. You can get them from snowboard stores and from general sports shops and department stores – look out for brands like Helly Hansen, Chillys, Burton and Bonfire. Look out for the word ‘wicking’ on the packaging – this means the product will help keep us dry and move the sweaty stuff away from our bodies. That's a good thing – we like wicking.
2. Sock it to me
You can never have enough snowboard socks so please buy us some. We like proper snowboard socks. They’re different from ski socks and definitely different from those cheap luminous tube socks you used to get for skiing when you were a kid. Head to a snowboard store and make sure you know roughly what shoe size we are. Look out for brands like Bonfire, Burton, Falke and ThirtyTwo.
3. Skin deep
Being out in the cold, wind and snow batters our skin something rotten. We need all the help we can get after a day on the slopes to soothe our red faces. We love rich moisturisers and products specifically for stressed faces and skin that has been exposed to the elements.
