Last weekend, December 12 to 14, I was in Kaprun for the Roxy Chicken Jam; with a dusting of fresh snow on the ground it was set to be an awesome event. But, despite riders from across the globe - Torah Bright, Kjersti Buass, Leanne Pelosi, Kimmy Fasani, Liza Filzmoser, Cheryl Maas and loads more - all congregated to push themselves and progress women's snowboarding the weather had other ideas.
After a great qualifiers on Friday, gale force winds on top of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, first led to the finals being postponed from Saturday to Sunday: then - with the winds still too strong, it was cancelled for the riders safety. Gutted.
