Before I'd even heard any of her tunes, I'd fallen for Little Boots: a kid of the 80s she's clearly a big fan of the never-ending story, is power pop - twee, without being sugary - and a bit barmy ala a younger Alison Goldfrapp or, dare I say, a sparklier Kate Bush.
She sounds like sophisticated house pop meets electro, and although she plays dance, is blatantly a big Klaxons, Hadouken and 80s synth fan. Not my usual cup of tea I'll admit, but I can imagine her saturating dance floors in 2009 (Annie Mac hearts her and she's already played Glastonbury and Creamfields in 2008) - as well as a few snowboard film soundtracks.
