Element Eden new season & events catch up

The female, fashion focused arm of Element Skateboards, Element Eden have redesigned their website, added a very busy blog and have a plethora of happenings going on right now.

Video is also a new featured medium that they've turned their creative charm too, with an entirely new Vimeo channel and audiovisual catalogues of their seasonal collections, including current Fall 2009 threads (4). There's also an awesome stop frame animation of Brooke Reidt creating a massive mural in a warehouse, and a biography piece on fellow artist/painter Lisa Solberg (2), in her studio.

One event I was gutted to miss is The Garden Party of Eden Ette (1) - an end of summer soiree held in Hossegor, on Thursday, September 24. In the transformed garden of Le Surfing restaurant on Estagnots beach, the European Spring 2010 collection was on show, with confetti, balloons, flags and sparklers matching the brand colours of co-sponsors Les Ettes. Check out the photos on Flickr, and shed a tear for summer.

In Australia? If you're in Brisbane on Friday evening, The Nine Lives Gallery (upstairs of Mellion's Italian Restaurant) is hosting an exhibition dubbed 'Hand Drawn.' A showcase of Australian and New Zealand based female illustrators, Element Eden artists Kareena Zerofos and Sarah Larnach are featured.

Another highlight is the latest work of another Aussie ambassador: Amber B. An artist specialising in stitched creations, she's currently touring the globe as part of the 'Smile On Your Brother' art show (5). A collection of work by skating's leading artists currently touring Canada, the aim of the exhibition is to raise money to distribute skateboards to disadvantaged kids across the Maple nation. Check the work out with wearecontributors.com until October 12.

They've also released feature collections with brand advocates: truly inspirational skate/snowboarder/speaker Amy Purdy now has her own denim line, while newly recruited artist Pepa Prieto (3) - the first European Element Eden advocate - has been illustrating limited edition t-shirts.

And there's tonnes more.... for the latest check out their new blog elementeden.com/blog. Easy.
