Ok, I've not even seen the movie yet, but I'm uber excited and blatantly biased already. So when I spotted Vans latest blog I though they'd discovered the best shoes ever: a hand made pair of slip ons featuring illustrations from the Where The Wild Things Are children's book. Perfectly timed for the release of the Spike Jonse movie of the film...
The movie, based on the 1963 classic kids book, is out tomorrow - and hype's been building slowly for a long time - with tonnes of Where The Wild Things Are influenced fashion, art, and music being released in anticipation. But, the shoes featured aren't officially being released by Vans - they're in fact a fans customisation job on a blank pair of slip ons, for sale on crafty site Etsy by a Stabbyvonkillerstein. Completely genius and unique, I don't think she knows what she's let herself in for... Let the deluge of orders commence.
