SURFING: Stephanie Gilmore wins her third ASP World Champion title & Vans Triple Crown!
Belated congrats to Stephanie 'Happy' Gilmore after she won her third consecutive world title last week at the Gidget Pro! And, after choosing not to revel in her success and keep competing, the Coolangatta-born Australian wrapped up the 2009 season with a win at the Billabong Pro Maui, on Friday. At just 21, and after a summer spent training in Southern California, Steph doesn't deserve it more.

Her third consecutive win at Pipeline, and 2nd Vans Triple Crown, Steph rode smooth, stylish and fully charged the perfect 4 to 6 foot swell in Honolulu Bay - landing the highest heat total of 2009 - with an incredible 19.67.
