If you've not noticed already, I love scarves - keeping your jugular warm is the easiest way to making sure the rest of your blood is toasty, especially in sub zero snow temperatures.
But, there's a serious lack of suitable products or accessories available to snowboarders to keep your neck in check without getting frozen (thanks cotton) or sweaty (cheers to acrylic) - until Clast was born...
Created by a group of close friends from the Swiss snowboard scene who were in the same predicament and riding daily, they decided to do something about it - inspired by friends and the handmade scarves knitted by Stephan Maurer's grandma in 2005. Soon they were designing their own comfortable, functional and forward thinking neckwear - and the first collection from Clast emerged.
From full face masks, to bandanas, warmers, and trendy snoods, Clast have created a unique but useful niche which other brands are simply attempting to ape - badly. And I can finally ditch that ridiculously embarassing ski scarf without freezing my face off. Joy!
