It's taken three years, but Parisian club culture princess Uffie has a new single - the awesome electro / breakbeat soundclash MCs Can Kiss. Out today, it's a taster for the 22-year-old's first full-length album Sex Dreams and Tight Jeans, out next month on Ed Banger Records - including a duet with Pharrell Williams no less.
Like Peaches' cheeky little sister, Uffie had underground clubs falling for her aloof (aka bad?) MC vocals and crunked-up electro back in 2006 with her singles Hot Chick and Ready To Uff.
2006 hit single Pop The Glock was then re-released last year, with Mirwais, Felix Da Housecat and Ellen Allien remixes, but after three years, Uffie's debut album is out next month.
Co-produced by France's biggest electro names (Feadz, Mr Oizo, Sebastian, Mirwais), plus a collaboration with Pharrell Williams, the record's topped with super cute hooks, but weaved around a chunky and futuristic, electro hip hop base - perfect for park sessions.
You'll have to wait until next month to hear Uffie's album, but you can listen to Pop The Glock and MCs Can Kiss on the videos below - or check out the tasty Starkey remix on NME.com:
