How are your new year resolutions going? To 'protect her liver' three-times ASP world champion surfer Stephanie Gilmore wanted to slow the partying and 'settle down a little' by booking a trip first thing in 2010 - which ended up being an incredible week in the Mentawi Islands last-minute, with fellow Aussie rippers Sally Fitzgibbons and Laura Enever - meeting Carissa Moore there. After her photographer friend Swilly called saying it was 6-foot and pumping at P-Pass Micronesia, Steph, who herself was on her way to a New Year's Eve festival, was hooked - and quickly convinced Sally and Laura. Five flights later, they arrived to score barrelling surf, burning rays, fickle weather, coconut milk and all-girl good times paradise - see some of Swilly's stunning shots below, then check out the whole story on surfline.com.
