Winters frozen by powder, then frazzled by sea salt and sun in the summer, my hair's a fragile mess. Leave in conditioners and oodles of serum do help, but it'd be nice to find something more natural than the synthetic products I drench my barnet in to prevent split ends and keep it shiny.
Weleda have the answer: Weleda's Rosemary Hair Lotion is loaded with the pungent herb for a a light weight liquid conditioning hair oil, that both moisturises the hair and scalp. It also has anti-fungal (i.e. dandruff!) properties - good for keeping away any sea born bacteria too and has a real 'vintage-find' feel.
Like all Weleda products, the Rosemary Hair Lotion, £7.50 for 100ml, is certified-natural, free from artificial perservatives, colourants and fragrances - so you get shiny, gorgeous smelling hair without the guilt.
Ingredients are mainly the organic grown rosemary, but also extracts of horseradish (high in silica and sulphur which encourage growth) and Stonecrop, which soothes sore scalps and also contains sulphur for growth and to strengthen the cuticle.
Available from all good health stores, it's Weleda's Rosemary Hair Lotion is also super easy to apply - after washing just splash some on your hands and spread through your damp tresses, or apply some drops direct to your hair and comb through.
Perfect for giving your barnet a boost post surf, it moisturises without weighing down and has no stickiness - but be careful not to use too much though as, being an oil, overdosing can leave you looking greasy.
It's now my favourite rescue remedy - lasting for several days, giving my tresses a natural shine, bounce and a lovely herby smell too.
