Ok, this is old but worth a post: recently I've been asked to organise some blogger events - a new concept in marketing meet ups which can go brilliantly - or totally tits up! But Roxy and Quiksilver, always a step ahead online in the US, pulled off their debut with aplomb back in February.
Keep reading to hear the thoughts of Saucy Glossie, Seventeen, I Heart Daily, Seventeen, Nitrolicious, What I Wore, Friller, Cosmo Girl, Betty Confidential and missomnimedia.com thought of the current covetable Roxy collection after the jump.
NYC based fashion bloggers and online editors were invited to a sky high, luxury loft apartment to peruse Roxy's Spring/Summer 2010 collection, formulate their own outfits then get their photo taken with said ensemble by Roxy's photographer - and post stories online.
The fruits of these forward thinking digital fashionistas was then released in a few videos at the end of March - and inspired a follow up event in LA this month. Intimate, hands on and exclusive I hope I get an invite to Roxy Europe's similar event...
Saucy Glossie (below), aka Lindsey Calla, was enamoured with both the multi-million dollar apartment, as well as the Roxy Spring Summer 2010 collection which she describes as 'eally cute downtown pieces. A lot of grey, black, creme, stripes, and checks - rompers and bat wing cardigans and shirts.' She was also super impressed with the event.
Jessica Schroeder of What I Wore (below) was also impressed with her invite: posting both shots of her favourite pieces of the collection and modelling her own samples. Score.
