Jess Kimura is standing at the edge of becoming a legend in DIY snowboard circles. The brains behind last years passionate female-focused, artsy shred film Peepshow, the young Canadian won Rookie of the Year awards from credibe european mag Method, plus some tasty sponsor hook ups last season. She's now well on to putting together the second film - as well as a series of webisodes, dubbed 'Peep My Show'.
All created via her own self-iniatied, passionate ethos, she may not be the best snowboarder - albeit a highly stylish one - but Jess is a huge inspiration to anyone wanting to start their own project. That's why the marketing guys at Burn Ignite energy drink, have picked her to star in the first of three short online documentaries, created by Exit Films.
Created by Jono of Australian company Yeah Right Productions,
the first of the video triptych, sees him follow Jess and her Peepshow
cohorts around Quebec City as they build jumps, search for street rails,
and log footage - raw and makes me crave snow. As, Jono says: "It was a surreal job but an exciting one to be involved in. We had 1 month to do it which included having to find the characters and locations and then shoot and edit it. I wish there were more jobs like this one."
