18 year old Los Angeles local Charlotte Free has been snapped up by RVCA - and now on IMG models - she's already opening street queen Vivienne Westwood's Red Label shows, being featured in Elle, Nylon, The Telegraph, and more no less.
Pink hair is nowt new: Gwen Stefani rocked fuschia for a full on year, Kurt Cobain dabbled, as did, aherm, Pink, Lily Allen, Lady Gaga, Ellie Goulding, Niki Minaj, plus every Camden goth-kid. But for the blank-human-canvasses known as models, statement locks get you noticed - combined with her love for metal and angsty attitude, she's advocate gold...
After former ambassador Erin Wasson split with the skate/surf/street style stable in 2010, (due to the super's team being 'total chaos and the epitome of unorganized' apparently) things have been quiet on the female front from the LA brand.But, after RVCA advocate and photographer David Mushegain spotted Charlotte first in December 2010, it looks like they're getting a much needed injection of teen spirit spunk into their women's wear. Plus with her DIY hair dye, Slayer and Pantera tees, electro ambitions, love for nature and tumblr obsession, we're crushing a bit too - especially with the nostalgia tip for our own teen years.
