
Martha Cooper is a living legend. Dubbed the 'fairy godmother of Graff' the New York based photographer was one of the first to document the city's embryonic street art scene - capturing the creativity of the groundbreaking period plus the culture that grew around graffiti.
Cooper's now exhibiting her seminal shots as part of the Art In the Streets show at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA) in LA. So Very Nearly Almost caught up with Cooper for a preview and reminder of graffiti's roots...
