Ever wished you could combine a brilliant music festival, pumping surf and a weekend in warmer climes? Then Groundswell has answered your prayers this September 17 to 20, bringing class acts Jason Mraz, Erol Alkan, Newton Faulkner and Donavan Frankenreiter for it's debut at Angress, France - bang next door to Europe's capital of surfing, Hossegor.
On a green field site surrounded by lush pine forests, just 10 minutes from Hossegor's famed beaches, Groundswell will combine skate and BMX demos, with an eye opening Eco Village. There will also be lush local food - and all set to a line up of music's most feel good acts across three stages: grassroots, dance and main.
Organisers have also some impressive ideas to minimise the environmental impact of the festival. From free drinks tickets in return for litter picking, a partnership with 10:10 to reduce carbon emissions from the entire festival plus travel and compulsory green contracts for traders, they'll be tonnes of recycling stations, blanket use of 100% recycled paper and more.
Backed by Surf Europe, Kingpin Skateboarding and Surfrider, Groundswell will be an epic weekend, like no other festival in Europe - and the perfect summer wrap party. See you there!
