After last year's epic Ladies Skate Monthly sessions - including the gold 'Skate and Bake' - this year the Ladies Skateboard Series kicked off in Manchester last month, with stop two rolling into the brand new XC skatepark in Hemel Hempstead this weekend with even more prize money - hosted by the Vans UKSA National Skateboarding Championships.
Organised once more by multi talent Lois Pendlebury (back from her first winter season and a summer surfing), qualifiers begin at midday this Saturday October 22, with the Pool Jam, followed by the Writerstailkblock fastest trick comp.
Sunday October 23 sees the girl's contest kick off at midday, with semi's at 1.30pm, final at 3pm, best trick comp at 4pm, then finally prize giving at 5.30pm.
Prize money has just been confirmed (1st £400, 2nd £250, 3rd £150, 4th £50, 5th £20), with a £10 entry fee for competitors, plus limited skate/spectate tickets if you fancy riding the pool, bowl and ramps - but watch rather than competing. Spectate only tickets are also available.
