While sunlight maybe dwindling, the surf in the UK is pumping right now - with the ever-reliable Daily Mail reporting 50 foot waves today. Aherm.

But, with dropped temperatures and lack of tourists the problem of marine litter can get overlooked. Surfers Against Sewage are on the ball though - and need people to get involved in the North Devon Beach Clean Series, from November 12 to 27 at five special beaches.

Dates for the Series are:

Woolacombe - 12th November 11am - 1pm
Saunton Sands - 13th November 11am - 1pm
Westward Ho! - 26th November 11am - 1pm
Woody Bay - 27th November - 10am - Midday
Lynmouth - 27th November - 2pm - 4pm
