Far from the snow or surf but craving some turns? Get in on the longboard renaissance - the UK's fastest growing sideways community.

More in line with skating's original surf-inspired style, longboarding has erupted globally for women in recent times - much thanks to the Longboard Girls Crew stunning Endless Roads film, plus the power of the interweb for community building and word of mouth.

Wanna get more involved and meet more like minds? Then head to the first London Longboard girl's jam at Crystal Palace next Saturday November 12 from 11am to 4pm - organised by Christine Maier of Gravity is Pink.

A chilled, friendly session to skate and learn tips, Christine and co will also help you tweak your set up and share info on the best boards, bushing, wheels and more for you.

To find them head towards the pond where you should be able to see the skaters.
