With the rise of tumblr, there are squillions of fashion based blogs on the net - but, once in a while a glimmer of gold sparkles among the tidal wave of average, like Oracle Fox.
Created by Australian artist/stylist/surfer Mandy Shadforth - Oracle Fox is one such light, which has become a fashionista's favourite at just six months old. And has now inspired a collaboration collection with legendary surf brand Billabong, for Spring/Summer 2012.
Mandy grew up as a tomboy surf grom in Queensland, New South Wales, forever playing in the sea and having fun. Now, as a well-known local artist and stylist with a stunning vintage (and far more feminine) wardrobe, her love for the ocean permeates the bohemia of her blog - from holiday snaps in Hawaii, to high fashion inspiration from Paris or tribal anthropology.
It's this same passion for water, endless sky and freedom, that embues Mandy's first collab collection with Billabong. All vintage-feel, distressed and comfy, the line features seventeen pieces, from teeny lace-trimmed shorts and loose cut tees, to tribal geometeric prints and pieces inspired by vintage items from Mandy's own wardrobe - plus her own illustrations.
