Japan is somewhere I'd love to explore - incredible food, stunning scenery, fascinating culture and awesome snowboarding. So stumbling across this beautiful stop frame video by Mike Matas on vimeo, created using photos from his recent Japan holiday, inspired me to get myself there soon - and take more photos on my travels to attempt something similar.
It's been up a little while and proving very popular on vimeo, possibly due to Mike's talent for creating visual magic via an incredible storytelling ability through images. But maybe also because he is the founder of Push Pop Press, recently acquired by Facebook, most probably to help inject some life into the social media giant's new photo-driven timeline facility.
Regardless of his day job, One Week In Japan is perfect travel inspiration. I'll be watching his twitter to see where this digital visual master visits - and what he creates - next...
