crista_leonard_new_face_want_ette_les_ettes_perfumes_photographer.jpg

Les Ettes perfumes have mixed up their surf, skate and snow brand ambassadors with their latest face of Want Ette - analog photographer Crista Leonard. Exclusively working in film, Crista's images have an arty, dream like quality, yet are simple and graceful.

UK born, but Swiss schooled, the 26-year-old studied communication at the University of Sussex, Brighton, England, followed by art school in Barcelona and Post Graduate study at London's prestigious Goldsmiths. With a few seasons under her belt too, Les Ettes' latest face is a true snowboarder at heart - calling the Spanish resort of Andorra home, combining inspiratin from the mountains and her cultural city roots.

View her work and a stunning introducing video by Per-Hampus Stålhandske, after the jump...

It may have been released in 2009, but beautiful female surf documentary Dear & Yonder, by Andria Lessler and Tiffany Campbell is still a cult flick. A stunning, cinematographic story examining what it means to be a female surfer, and how empowering it's always been, the film is artsy and inspiring, with stunning footage of Kassia Meador, Sally Fitzgibbons, Liz Clark, Prue Jeffires and more.

So, to encourage more of us to buy the film Surf Line have posted a behind the scenes interview with film makers Andria Lessler and Tiffany Campbell on their debut surf movie project, plus some stunning shots. Hear the whole interview and see the full gorgeous gallery here

An essential for anyone with a vague interest in women's surfing, you can also buy the DVD online from Molllusk surf shop in the US and Magic Seaweed in the UK and Europe.

hannah_stouffer_artist_illustrator_nike_vans_gnu_element_surf_snow_skate_los_angeles.jpg

I came across Los Angeles artist Hannah Stouffer's work a month or so ago via a random blog link and loved her dark, yet colourful and intricate illustrations. So does most of the So Cal action sports industry, as she's recently done work for Nike Snowboarding (5), Nike 6.0, Element Skateboards (4), Gnu Snowboards (1), Arts Projekts (3) and now her own signature Vans (2) high top shoe.

[Check out her work in detail after the jump...]
