Nylon magazine makes a Roxy snowboard & learns to ride with Torah Bright
I'm a big fan of New York fash mag Nylon, but wouldn't be surprised if their super glam, city slicker writers can walk better in heels than snowboard boots. And so when 'Factory Girl' aka Style Director Dani Stahl, a snowboard virgin, was sent to the Roxy factory to make her own board I was dubious.
But, when she gets taught how to ride the aforementioned stick by Torah Bright herself, the results are fricking hilarious - rather than horrific.

Burton release the Green Mountain Project collection; eco friendly snowboard outerwear made from recycled plastic
If, like me, you're holding back from purchasing a new snowboard jacket or pants this season in an effort to be green, you now have permission to splurge (almost) guilt-free. Burton snowboards have released their first Green Mountain Project collection for women - outerwear made from recycled polyester and 'environmentally friendly waterproofing technologies'.
Pushed forwards by Burton pro snowboarder and environment spokesperson Nicolas Müller, all GMP products are engineered to have the lowest environmental impact possible. As well as the fabrics, all trims, linings and insulation are made from recycled and low-impact material (such as plastic bottles): including shock cords, elastic, fleece pocket liners and labels.
