Insight 51 release summer 2012 videos

InsightSummerSpring20122011AustralianFashion.jpg

I've had an infatuation with Australian creative exports for a while (namely Something Else by Natalie Wood, Angus and Julia Stone, Kai Neville and Daydream Lily) so it's not surprising that I'm way into the latest grunge-lite threads by Insight for spring 2012.

The Sydney based label (which started as a surfboard company) has Wood as Creative Director of womenswear, so shares an artsy, nature inspired feel with Something Else - but is much more wearable, and slightly affordable.

Foam magazine release digital editions free

FoamMagazineSurfDigitalEdition.jpg
There's a lot of love for California's Foam magazine at Nollie HQ - which manages to mix some of the finest elements of LA counter culture, a love for the ocean and surfing, plus stunning - and wearable - fashion shoots. But, until now, here in the UK we could only read it online via a sometimes unreliable digital subscription service.

So when Foam announced new free digital editions we were stoked.

beaches & ballgowns by Craig Lawrence

CraigLawrenceKnitwearDesign.jpg

Ispwich born St Martins grad Craig Lawrence maybe a knitwear designer - but his creations are more ethereal, than earthy. Inspired by the ocean and his seaside location of his hometown - it's juxtaposition of vintage decadence and glamour, with urban decay - his knitting takes an ancient craft, transformed into an intricate artform. Beautiful.

Check out his stunning Spring 2011 collection in film after the jump...
