Extreme Hotel Cape Town
If I didn't know better (Tesco got there first), I'd say Extreme were taking over the world. First a TV channel, then a online shop, real life shop, website, credit card, drinks, online world, paint ball, travel agent, extreme medics (for those extreme accidents) and now, a hotel. The first Extreme hotel, in Cape Town, South Africa, not only has nice rooms, a pool and all that lovely stuff, but a climbing wall up the side of it, and more extreme activities that you can shake your (extreme) credit card at. You won't get bored here, when they say there's an A to Z of stuff to scare you silly, they aren't kidding. From abseiling to surfing and shark diving to just taking in Table Mountain, this is a holiday and a half.

Decorate your wall with your surfboard or snowboard using Stikup
If you love your shred stick so much you can't bear to let it out of your sight, then don't. Mount it on your wall with the Stikup and spend your money on a snowboard or surfboard with sick graphics instead of investing in a picture. Don't leave it gathering dust though, as beautiful as it looks, I'm sure it rides better!

Top 50 girls who rock: Louise Moore
Image: Minus9photography
Louise has been the British wakeboarding champion for the last seven years, and European champion for five of them. So she's definitely the right person to get some tips from - she recommends you get some coaching to get you on the right track and make sure you wear bindings that fit you, "never use bindings that are too big unless you want to wreck your ankles." Personally Louise wants to use 2007 to keep learning new stuff, stay healthy compete in as many contests as possible.
If you're in Florida this winter and want personal coaching from Louise herself, visit her website. Or check out the Whirly birds UK summer tour, which Louise is involved in.

Top 50 girls who rock: Stef Tor
Stef Tor told us she became one of the top female wakeskaters in the world by being hard, 'If you train hard, you'll not only be hard, you'll be hard to beat', wise words there we think you'll agree. And believe us, she's tough. This year she's starred in the first all-girl wakeskating and wakeboarding video for eight years, taught scores of girls her craft and even secured top placings when she's riding against the guys. Her goals for the new year? 'to attempt every trick on my trick/goal list for 2007 and give up biting my nails!'.
Thanks Stef!

Freestyle Audio DMP and Qoolquee X Waterproof MP3 Players
Forget the elevator music they pipe in to swimming pools, now that someone has been clever enough to design a waterproof MP3 player, and, crucially, waterproof headphones to go with them, you can listen to some proper music under the water. So if you count the water as your playground, now you can also make it into your dance floor. The Freestyle Audio DMP is waterproof, shockproof and guaranteed to last longer in the water than you do (up to 40 hours). The Qoolque X is only water resistant, but although you can't dunk it continuously in the water, you can still use it for sports like kayaking, where you wouldn't dare take your regular MP3, which would probably break if it so much as came face to face with a pool of water.
